1. Project Associate, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

As a Project Associate at UMC, you will support the design and implementation of programmes that strengthen urban systems and improve service delivery in cities. Working closely with Urban Local Bodies, state departments, and partner organisations, you will contribute to initiatives across areas such as water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), climate resilience, and inclusive urban development.
 

Your role will involve conducting research and analysis, supporting programme implementation, documenting progress and learnings, and preparing reports and knowledge products. You will also engage with communities and stakeholders to ensure that programmes respond to the needs of vulnerable and underserved groups.


Through this role, you will gain hands-on experience working with governments and development partners while contributing to practical solutions that make cities more inclusive, resilient, and well-managed.

2. Solid Waste Management Consultant (SBM-U) – Assam

As a Solid Waste Management Consultant, you will strengthen Assam’s urban sanitation systems by providing technical guidance, supporting project design and implementation, and building capacities across state and city teams. You will contribute to improving waste management services through SOP development, feasibility assessments, GIS-based mapping, and on-ground technical support under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).

3. Program Coordinator/ Planner,
Bhubaneswar-Odisha

We are looking for a Program Coordinator/Planner to join our team in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, supporting city-level planning and development initiatives. The position involves leading and coordinating spatial and livelihood planning activities under state and national urban programmes. The role includes preparing local and city-level plans, integrating land use, mobility, and environmental strategies, and providing technical support to Urban Local Bodies and state departments. The Program Coordinator/Planner will also facilitate participatory planning, data analysis, and capacity-building efforts to strengthen inclusive and sustainable city management.

4. Finance Manager, Ahmedabad

As a Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial health and sustainability of the organisation by managing financial planning, monitoring, and reporting. They will ensure compliance with financial regulations, manage budgets, and support strategic decision-making to achieve organisational objectives.
